Let us bring the SPARKLE to your event!

By 2015 Austin was being touted as a theme destination location . This resulted in larger venues coming into existence but providing limited decor and services. 

As Cheryl Fernandes - owner of Glitzzy Events LLC  (Austin’s only fusion wedding event planning compan since 2012) continued to plan weddings for her clients at such venues,  her husband and herself identifed the niche market opportunity for a catering support services business for folks needing this quality service at an affordable price !

Sparkle Catering Support Services was launced  towards the end of 2016  - Our goal is to to provide you, our customer,  with the backing of caring professionals  that can find, organize and arrange all the services you require, at a reasonable price so you can  sit back and enjoy your special day !

Think of us as your  full service support company. In order to keep you stress free, we can provide you with

  • Pre event support and services
  • Event support and services
  • Post event teardown, logistis and additional services
Some examples of the support and services are listed below
  • Providing staff for any specific pre-event setup , event tear down or flip and post event tear down and/or clean up
  • Liaison with food service providers and other related catering vendors to ensure a seamless dinner service
  • Staff services for table decor setup /tear down
  • Staff services for table linen setup and take down
  • Providing top of the line rental of flatware, chinaware, glassware
  • Providing trained staff to manage bussing of chinaware, glassware during event
  • Providing certified TABC bartenders for your event

Cheryl and Andrew have over 25 years of global corporate experience in addition to over a decade of event management experience in weddings and special events from every logistical facet of the events industry. We look forward to meeting with y’all soon!

A little about Cheryl and Andrew:

  • Married since 1989!
  • Also, been age 25 (at heart) since 1989
  • Raised 3 awesome grown-ups children- ; Nikkita, Ninoshka, and Nathan
  • Global citizens having called many countries home – born in India, started their working careers in Dubai, raised their family in Canada and  since 2005 call beautiful Austin, Texas
  • International travel junkies (bucket list: visit all 152 countries in their lifetime)
  • Andrew is a points guru (he latest deal was finding round trip tickets to Australia & Hong Kong for under $500 – ask him if you want savvy travel / booking tips for honeymoons!)
  • Entrepreneurs   –   Both gave up established corporate careers to follow their dreams!

Cheryl as the owner of Glitzzy Events plans and executes all types of events. Her niche is the planning and execution of “fusion” weddings. Fusion weddings, just like it sounds, focuses on blending a fusion of cultures, religions, or traditions! Since 2012, Cheryl has planned and executed over 30 weddings and has done innumerable key birthday and wedding milestones parties along with tons of baby showers and christening thrown in for good measure!

Andrew has spent his career in the corporate world and has held various global corporate positions . As Glitzzy grew, Cheryl was spending more weekends with her clients, and Andrew who as a seasoned business traveler, decided it better to be Cheryl’s shadow so he could spend time with her over the weekends. Given his finance and management background, it was a natural progression for Andrew to work in the background in his spare time and over see the financial and operational aspects for Glitzzy.

The Fernandes’ goal for their clients are simple:
